PepsiCo has launched the Advanced Personalization Ideation (API) Center to develop personalized nutrition solutions beyond the athletes. The API Center is part of the Life Sciences function within Global R&D. It consists of a team of scientists and professionals from different specializations.
The API Center functions like a learning lab or start-up company, with the mantra of “Learn First, Scale Second.”
The API Center’s mission is to deliver actionable, personalized nutrition solutions across PepsiCo brands, to help support individuals on their health and wellness journey.
The insights gathered and digital platforms created can be leveraged across our portfolio to offer novel and differentiated experiences through personalization.
The API Center works with technology and academic partners in the space of wearables, behavior economics, artificial intelligence, data analytics and consortia to tackle system-wide barriers and set industry standards to realize advanced personalization opportunities. These partnerships enable rapid development and deployment of pilots to investigate potential opportunities without significant upfront investment and the flexibility to pivot quickly to explore promising avenues.
