The API Center partners with various academic experts, advisors, and organizations in the field of Personalized Nutrition to actively advance the science through unique contributions and consortia. The work with various consortia aims to develop industry-wide standards or guiding principles to maintain the integrity of the science and market potential, as well as consumer trust.
PepsiCo’s API Center is also working with key organizations to test and learn in a Living Lab Ecosystem to validate different personalized nutrition solutions.
With the goal to make wellness fun and create a social ecosystem, PepsiCo’s API Center partnered with the Yale Center for Customer Insights (YCCI) in 2021 on a new design and innovation competition that takes a deep dive and explores innovative ways of increasing engagement using a new digital app.
The program was a success, and the competition has been launched again in 2022, with over 20 teams entering from across the US and 3 winning teams emerging each year, showing the most creative yet feasible solutions.
The API Center organizes internal and external events to continue to understand and discuss the science and recent advancements in personalized nutrition and related fields.
