The goals of this webinar are:

 

  1. Review the latest available research on different foods to encourage such as whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables and their place in the Dietary Guidelines for Americans
  2. Explore the health benefits of encouraging more food diversity in people’s eating patterns and provide examples of food groups to encourage, like whole grains, legumes, fruits and vegetables.
  3. Present recent research on chickpea consumption and applications for nutrition professionals
  4. Demonstrate a unique culinary application and provide guidance for counselling patients on how to include more nutrient-rich foods in their diets.
